How Bitcoin Up or Down works

  1. Pick a round

Rounds run 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours or a day, back to back. The strike is the Pyth BTC/USD price at the start.

  2. Buy Up or Down

Tokens trade on an onchain order book between 0 and 1 USDC, and the price is the market’s probability. The most you can lose is what you paid.

  3. Sell any time

Exit before the end by selling to another trader on the order book, to lock in a gain or cut a loss.

  4. Get paid

At the end a smart contract reads the Pyth price: above the strike, Up wins. Each winning token pays 1 USDC to your wallet.
